Premier League – How It Works

A simple guide to how the league is structured, how points are earned and how the season is decided.

The Fishub Premier League is built around a simple, structured format designed to reward performance across the full season.

Each round contributes to the overall standings, with consistency and decision-making playing a key role in how the league unfolds.

The Season

The league is fished across four rounds at top UK venues, with each event playing a crucial role in shaping the final standings.

Peg Draw & Sections

Anglers draw their peg before each match and compete within sections of 10, creating fair and competitive matchups.

Points System

Points are awarded based on section results — 10 points for 1st down to 1 point for 10th, with tied weights receiving equal top points.

Match Format

Each round is a 5-hour match, with weights recorded in kilograms and performances contributing to both points and overall standings.

Stand-Ins & Consistency

Anglers are allowed one stand-in during the season if required, ensuring the league remains competitive while allowing flexibility.

Deciding the Winner

The league is decided by total points. If tied, combined weight is used, followed by a one-hour fish-off if needed.
