Andy Power

My Story

Andy has enjoyed a wide range of angling disciplines throughout his life, from lure fishing and sea fishing to targeting pike and carp. However, match fishing has been his main focus for more than 25 years, during which time he has developed a deep passion for the competitive side of the sport. Rather than specialising in a single type of venue, he has always aimed to become a well-rounded angler, enjoying the challenge of adapting his approach across different fisheries and match formats.

His favourite tactics are those that allow him to fish visually, particularly float fishing with a rod where he can actively watch the action unfold. Competing in the Fishub Premier League gives him the opportunity to test himself against some of the best commercial match anglers in the country, while also learning new techniques, visiting different venues, and continuing to develop as an angler.
